Vebego companies realised 100 million litres

Vebego, one of the largest facility services providers, was at the cradle of Made Blue in 2014. Various Vebego subsidiaries together have already produced 100 million litres of clean drinking water.

Machiel van Dooren, co-founder of Made Blue, therefore presented a check this week to Ton Goedmakers, CEO of Vebego, and Rick Dillema, director of Westerveld.

Vebego

Family business Vebego was founded in 1943 and has grown into a company with more than 36,000 employees who work in facility services and care.

Vebego is perhaps better known for its subsidiaries such as Westerveld, Blankers Schoon, Hago, IBN Facilitair, Stoffels Bleijenberg, Care and Yask. Since 2015, these Vebego companies have been working together with Made Blue on access to clean drinking water and hygiene for everyone. More than 100 million liters of clean drinking water have now been made available in places on earth where it is most needed.

Together with Made Blue, we make the water that is no longer needed here for cleaning available as clean drinking water in developing countries: one liter for one litre. Every 20 liters of water we save gives someone else on earth access to enough water and hygiene for a day.

Ton Goedmakers – CEO Vebego

Sustainable cleaning

Ton Goedmakers, CEO of Vebego says: “Vebego is actively committed to society, in all kinds of ways. Close by as a large, inclusive employer, with many people at a distance from the labor market, whom we offer a job and with facilitating circular offices. But we also contribute far away. With our construction trips, for example, and with providing clean drinking water with Made Blue.“

Measurable impact

Machiel van Dooren, director of Made Blue presented a check to Ton Goedmakers from Vebego and Rick Dillema from Westerveld.

“We are proud of the partnership with Vebego and its companies and the impact we have been able to make with it. Every 20 liters of water that we deliver on behalf of Vebego companies gives someone else on earth access to sufficient water and hygiene for a day. 100 million liters makes the same possible for a community of over 1,300 people, today and for the next 10 years ahead. The collaboration results in even more beautiful things. Women and children often walk up to four miles every day in search of water. Direct access to clean drinking water makes this superfluous, so children can go to school as usual and women have more time to take care of the family, income and so on. “

One litre for one litre

In our One litre for one litre program, we offer you the opportunity to mirror the water consumption – or the water savings – of your product, service or organization.

Together we calculate the consumption or saving and determine which donation is needed to realize the same number of litres of clean drinking water in developing countries, guaranteed and certified.
