vandeStreek Bier
Made Blue

A brewery consumes a lot of drinking water to brew one litre of beer. Drinking water isn’t readily available everywhere in the world. That’s why vandeStreek makes sure that for every liter of bottled beer, one liter of clean drinking water is made available in developing countries.

“For every litre of bottled beer, we donate one litre of clean drinking water. This way, we ensure that satisfaction here makes a difference elsewhere.”

VandeStreek is everything but ordinary

This Utrecht-based brewery is known for its unique specialty beers, full of flavor and without compromise. From alcohol-free bangers to thick IPAs: every beer that comes out of the kettles here is a creative outburst from two brothers with a mission — to make beer more fun, more exciting, and above all, tastier.

What started as a hobby in a student dorm room has grown into a nationally renowned brewery with an international reach.

Sustainable brewing

At vandeStreek, sustainability goes beyond the label. The brewery is actively committed to reducing its footprint — with smart choices at every step of the brewing process.

They generate their own electricity using solar panels on the roof, reuse heat from the brewing process, and consciously choose sustainable packaging such as cans. Even beer that does not meet their high standards is given a second life as natural vinegar.

With Made Blue, they’re stepping up their commitment to social sustainability: with every litre of beer, they contribute to clean drinking water in areas where people needed most. Because really good beer tastes even better when it makes a difference somewhere else.

One litre for one litre

In our program One litre for one litre you can convert the water saving or water consumption of your product, service or organization into an equal amount of litres of clean drinking water in developing countries. Choosing a selection of customers or donating more litres is also an option. Transparency is paramount and we are happy to help you communicate about it!
