Hoogwegt is an internationally operating company specialized in the trade and distribution of dairy products and ingredients and has been an ambassador of Made Blue for many years. Hoogwegt has helped us realize clean drinking water in countries such as Senegal and Ethiopia, and in 2024 we joined forces to start a new project in Sierra Leone.

Global dairy industry

Hoogwegt is an internationally operating company, specialising in the trade and distribution of dairy products and ingredients, such as milk powders, cheese and whey proteins. Since its foundation in 1965 the company has offered valuable services such as market insights, quality assurance and risk management. Active in over 130 countries, Hoogwegt operates independently and flexibly thanks to its global network and in-depth market knowledge. In addition to supplying products, Hoogwegt focuses on optimizing the food chain by offering efficient and sustainable solutions. The company has grown into a reliable and innovative partner in the global dairy sector.

Our international presence brings us into contact with many important social issues. Where possible, we like collaborating with others to contribute positively. That is why we value the long-term relationship with Vreugdenhil and are proud to make an impact with them and the Made Blue Foundation.

A special collaboration

In 2024, Hoogwegt, Vreugdenhil, World Vision and Made Blue Foundation joined forces to make an impact together in Freetown, Sierra Leone.

For this project they not only donate litres of water, but also milk powder. We hope this will give the free school meals at the six schools in the area of the project much more nutritional value. The milk powder will form a mineral boost for the students, and thus help them to continue to develop well physically and mentally.

One litre for one litre

In our program One litre for one litre you can convert the water saving or water consumption of your product, service or organization into an equal amount of litres of clean drinking water in developing countries. Choosing a selection of customers or donating more litres is also an option. Transparency is paramount and we are happy to help you communicate about it!

Bird Brewery

Bird Brewery mirrors the water consumption of its beer production. This amounts to 4-6 litres of water per litre of beer.
