ABOUT RISKONET

Riskonet is an internationally operating consultancy in safety and risk management fields. The many services offered by Riskonet also include advice on and the design of sprinkler systems. Within Riskonet, sustainability is linked to the business strategy. Therefore the collaboration with Made Blue was a logical step for both parties.

With every design that Riskonet creates for a sprinkler system, the size of the tank is converted into litres of drinking water and money. Riskonet then donates that amount to Made Blue. They also encourage the customer in question to do the same.

“One litre for one litre, how can we contribute?” How much water does a sprinkler pool hold? How many of our customers use these basins, and how much water do they have in store? Could we base a clean water contribution to Made Blue on that, in consultation with the customer?”

Ron de Bruijn, Managing partner

RISKONET & MADE BLUE

Access to good drinking water is so normal in the Netherlands, you can drink it straight from the tap everywhere. For Ron de Bruijn of Riskonet, the confrontation with the reality beyond the borders of the Netherlands was quite eye-opening. During a meeting, he heard our Machiel state the cold hard facts.

For example, more than 400 million Africans currently live in water-poor countries. And by 2050, five times as much land is likely to fall prey to extreme drought. Half of all schools in the world do not have access to clean water and lack adequate sanitation.

Ron de Bruijn: “I could hardly believe those figures. If you think about it, it’s very saddening. Especially when you realise that relatively modest investments can make a huge difference.”

One litre for one litre

In our program One litre for one litre you can convert the water saving or water consumption of your product, service or organization into an equal amount of litres of clean drinking water in developing countries. Choosing a selection of customers or donating more litres is also an option. Transparency is paramount and we are happy to help you communicate about it!
