September shows how many ways we make water from water: from catering to webshop and from filled bottles to offices. Below you can read how we worked on clean drinking water for everyone in September and how you can participate.
Autumn has officially started again, so we would like to share two more beautiful appearances of our bottles in sunny places. De Koffiemolen in Alkmaar not only serves the best coffee in North Holland but also the best water for the world with a lucky doll! Several restaurants on Curacao already serve our water and Grand Cafe De Gouverneur opted for a stylish design of its own.
In our One Litre for One Litre program, we welcomed a new ambassador: Blauw & Florijn. From now on, the financial advisers of Blauw & Florijn will not only relieve families in the Netherlands when buying a new home. They will also donate clean water to a family in a developing country for a year.
You know it: you want to drink water on the go but you forgot your reusable bottle. With some shame you buy another disposable bottle of spring water. From now on that is no longer necessary! The Bottle Up is the alternative to PET bottles: a reusable sugar cane bottle that drinks well, is thoroughly cleaned in the dishwasher and also always provides 100 times its content of clean drinking water. So buy it now! Or sell … if you have a shop or hotel. Then look here for the possibilities.
Proud! That is what we are with this nice mention of our collaboration in The Student Hotel‘s impact report. In all branches in the Netherlands and Germany, MADE BLUE is on the table in the restaurants (The Commons) in striking bottles and has already yielded more than 36 million litres. If you want to know what else is in the impact report, read it here.
We are also proud of the hospitality ambassadors who won a Gaia Green Award this month:
Beachclub BIRDS from The Hague won in the Beach Pavilions category and also received the “Falco Eleonora Award 2020”. This award is presented to catering locations that excel in the field of sustainable Food & Beverage. The Public Award went to Noorderlicht Café in Amsterdam. They received no less than 22.5% of the public votes! Elise Moeskops of Lastage unfortunately just missed the title ‘Wine woman of the year’. View all winners here.
As if it were not enough, we were also allowed to hand Krijn van Noorderlicht Café this beautiful cheque with 9,500,000 litres of clean drinking water. Since serving Made Blue water, he has already provided 130 people with clean drinking water for at least 10 years! But he has also saved 134 tons of CO2 because our water projects prevent a lot of CO2 emissions in developing countries. You can read how that works here.
Will we ever go back to full weeks in the office or will it stay just a few days a week? When you go, it must be a party … That is why there is now a pampering package for offices from our ambassador Jetdrinks. Every month you will receive a package with various special snacks and you will also receive a Made Blue water cooler for chilled, sparkling and hot water. Then everyone wants to come back to the office, right? Email us for more information.
Which tap is sparkling again and which is still water? From now on it is no longer a question with our new, sustainable tap hangers. As a participating hospitality ambassador you order them through our ambassadors page.
Do you also want to contribute to clean drinking water for everyone in a way that suits you?
Help with our mission: clean drinking water for everyone! From now on you can also determine on our site how many liters of clean drinking water you want to achieve. This way you can also mirror your water consumption or savings as a private individual or small company. Take a look here …
