To brew one liter of beer, a brewery uses on average 4 to 6 liters of drinking water. That is drinking water that is not readily available everywhere in the world. That is why Bird Brewery ensures that water consumption from the production of its beers becomes available again as clean drinking water in developing countries.
“As a fast-growing brewery, we believe we can make an impact on the beer market. Of course we do that with our beers, but we also want to do so by consciously dealing with nature. Due to growth, our CO2 emissions and water consumption have increased considerably. To compensate, we are going to plant trees and donate drinking water every year with partners. This year we are planting ten thousand trees and donating 1.2 million liters of drinking water. That makes an impact. “
