The Gaia Green Awards are an initiative of a broad coalition of organizations and parties that are active in making the hospitality sector more sustainable. The parties that bear the award are Green Key Nederland, EKO Keurmerk, Biojournaal, Good Fish Foundation, Made Blue, Green Key Belgium, Olijfbedrijf, hetWerkvan, Euro Toques Netherlands and initiator Green Leisure Group.

The independent jury consists of five representatives from the industry. MADE BLUE jury member Machiel van Dooren says that despite the COVID-19 crisis, sustainability is still high on the agenda: ‘COVID-19 has an enormous impact on the catering sector, but has also ensured that catering locations have taken a close look. Sustainability as a distinctive character is becoming increasingly important in this.” Read the whole message on Biojournaal.
